When the Mercedes SLK debuted as
a concept car at the 1994 Turin Auto Show, the SLK was an
immediate hit, harking back to the classic 300SL and 190SL
roadsters of the '50s and '60s. The SLK's most distinctive
feature is a pushbutton retractable hardtop, which
transforms it from coupe to roadster in less than 30 seconds.
